Hyundai Venue, earlier known as the QXi, will be introduced as the India’s first ‘Smart Connected SUV’ with global Hyundai BlueLink Connectivity technology. The Hyundai BlueLink technology will be introduced in the Indian market with 33 features of which 10 will be India specific and focus on safety, convenience and various vehicle management relationship services. Simultaneously, the vehicle will also be showcased at the 2019 New York Auto Show for the global markets.

The upcoming Hyundai Venue takes design cues from the India-bound Kona. The vehicle will get a sleek two-tier headlamp unit with LED DRLs, while the fog lamps move down in the bumper. The rear section is likely to be offered with Creta-inspired taillight design. In-sync with the crossover body style, the vehicle is expected to get body cladding all around along with sporty roof rails. A set of freshly designed alloy wheels will enhance the overall aesthetics.

Although mechanical details remain unannounced for now, we believe that the Venuewill be offered in three engine options - a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol that generates 100bhp and 172Nm, 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol, and a 1.4-litre four-cylinder diesel engine from the Verna. The transmission options are likely to include a six-speed manual or automatic option. Post launch, the Venue is likely to compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, and the Ford EcoSport.
